Company History

PREMOT Františkovy Lázně a. s. operates in former premises of the car repair shop “KRAUS A KAUBECK” founded in 1934 in Slatina, Františkovy Lázně.

In 1945 the company was nationalized and thus a new company under the name Krajská opravna strojních a traktorových stanic (Regional Service of Machine and Tractor Depots) was established by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czechoslovak Republic. In December 1959 the name was changed to Opravny zemědělských strojů, oborový podnik Františkovy Lázně (Agricultural Machinery Service, branch Františkovy Lázně). From 1945 to 1971 the company underwent many organizational and production changes.

From 1972 as a national enterprise under the name Opravny zemědělských strojů (Agricultural Machinery Service) the company produced and supplied complete cylinder liners designed for the needs of the agricultural department's repair centres and spare parts service sets for export mediated by the ZETOR tractors manufacturer. At this time, general repairs of TATRA motors designed for various departments, including the army, played an important part in the production.

From 2 January 1988 the company became a part of the concern Státní podnik zemědělské techniky Praha 9-Vinoř (State Enterprise of Agricultural Engineering Prague 9-Vinoř) and briefly operated under the name Opravny zemědělských strojů n.p. Františkovy Lázně (Agricultural Machinery Service, Františkovy Lázně).

On 1 October 1990 the company became independent and thus the state enterprise PREMO Františkovy Lázně was established and eventually included in the second wave of voucher privatization, and on 1 January 1994 the company transformed to the joint-stock company PREMOT Františkovy Lázně.

An important turning-point in the company history was the year 1996 when the joint-stock company PREMOT Františkovy Lázně was incorporated in CIMEX GROUP. The privatization provided the company PREMOT Františkovy Lázně a.s. with production and financial stability.

On 1 July 2004 the company C - Západočeská a. s. was established including the division - PREMOT Františkovy Lázně.

On 2 May 2005 the General Assembly of the company C - Západočeská a.s. decided on the alteration of those articles in which the name of the company changes to PREMOT Františkovy Lázně a.s.
